GUIDE
Connect your Vantage account to Claude, then ask about your events in plain English. Claude can look up your events and guests, read your attendance forecasts and create draft events, with only the permissions you allow.

Once you're connected, try questions like these:
Claude answers from your Vantage account. It can't send email, and it can't see other organizations.
You need a Vantage login as an Admin or Manager, and any Claude plan. On Claude's Free plan, you can add one custom connector.
https://api.vantageevents.app/mcp as the server address, and choose Continue.Claude asks before it uses each Vantage tool until you change that. To change it, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Vantage Events, and set each tool under Tool permissions.
claude mcp add --transport http vantage-events https://api.vantageevents.app/mcp --client-id claude-code/mcp, choose vantage-events, then Authenticate. You can also run claude mcp login vantage-events in your terminal. When you connect, Vantage shows Connect claude.ai? (in Claude Code, Connect Claude Code?) with the name of your organization. Under It will be able to:, each permission has its own box. Untick anything you don't want, then choose Allow. Choose Cancel to stop without connecting.
The permissions, as the screen shows them:
The screen also promises: "claude.ai will never be able to send email as you, and cannot see other organizations. You can disconnect it at any time from Settings." In Claude Code, the promise starts "Claude Code will never be able to send email as you".
A new event Claude creates is always a draft. It goes public only if you allowed publishing and you ask Claude to publish it.
Only an Admin or Manager can connect Claude. A Staff account sees "Your role cannot connect apps to this organization." Ask an Admin or Manager to connect it.
In Vantage, open Settings, then Connected apps. Claude is listed as claude.ai, and Claude Code as Claude Code. Choose Disconnect on the one you want to remove. Vantage asks "Disconnect claude.ai?" and explains that it loses access on its next request. Choose Yes, disconnect claude.ai, or Keep it connected to change your mind. Vantage then confirms "claude.ai is disconnected. It can't act for this organization anymore." To use Claude with Vantage again, connect it again and approve the permissions.
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Vantage Events, then Disconnect. In Claude Code, type /mcp, choose vantage-events, then Clear authentication.
Claude can't connect. Check that the server address is exactly https://api.vantageevents.app/mcp. In Claude, choose Use Claude's published identity. In Claude Code, use the client ID claude-code. To change the authentication choice or client ID, remove the connector and add it again.
"Your role cannot connect apps to this organization." Connecting apps is for Admins and Managers. Ask one of them to connect Claude.
Claude says the connection doesn't have a permission. That permission was not selected when you connected. Disconnect Claude in Settings, Connected apps, then connect again and select it.
Claude stopped working with Vantage. A connection lasts 90 days. It also stops if someone disconnects it in Settings, Connected apps, or if the person who connected it is no longer an Admin or Manager. Connect again and approve the permissions.
Which Vantage plan do I need? Any plan, Free included.
Can Claude send emails or texts to my guests? No. Claude can read your email campaigns and their results, but it can never send them.
Will a new event go live by itself? No. Claude creates events as drafts. Publishing is a separate permission you choose to allow, and Claude publishes only when you ask.
Can Claude see my other organizations? No. A connection covers only the organization you approved.
I'm on Staff and can't connect. Why? Connecting apps is for Admins and Managers. Ask one of them to connect Claude.
How long does a connection last? 90 days from when you approve it. After that, connect again and approve the permissions. Changing your password or your Vantage plan doesn't end it.
